I retired from the US Coast Guard as a Chief Boatswain's Mate. Currently, I'm a merchant mariner on an offshore articulated tug and barge unit. I have been an avid fan of science fiction since my earliest memories of throwing a fit because my sisters went to see Return of the Jedi in the theater and I was forced to see some horrendous Muppet movie. My aggressively negative opinion of the Muppets was set in stone that day. I live in Maine with my long-suffering wife and three cats.
